Greetings in the name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ!

The South Carolina Baptist Deacons Ministry is a state affiliate of the National Baptist Deacons Convention of America, Inc. and Its Auxiliaries. The NBDC was established July 26, 1934 and the SCBD Ministry was formally organized May 13, 2014 to serve the twelve organized local deacon ministries throughout South Carolina. Before the formation of the SC ministry, Charleston County Deacons Ministry represented South Carolina faithfully for many years.

We currently have twelve active local deacon ministries with our purposes of worship, training, fellowship, and missionary work with individual ordained deacons, church deacon ministries, and/or an association deacons auxiliary.

All ordained deacons, deaconesses, wives of deacons, and even pastors are invited to grow with us. Your membership is absolutely free to join the ministry. However, you must have a strong desire to have a personal and closer spiritual relationship with Jesus Christ, learn how deacons can better assist pastors in advancing the church in Kingdom work, and engaging in home and foreign missions.
